About the Author

Richard Gramkow is an Enrolled Agent with more than 18 years of experience in various areas of taxation. He holds a master's degree in taxation from Rutgers University and is currently a tax manager for a publicly held Fortune 500 company in the New York metropolitan area.
Kolleen Wells is an Enrolled Agent who specializes in tax preparation for individuals and small businesses. She has worked in the accounting field for many years, including at a CPA office and for the county assessor's office.
Christy Pinheiro is an Enrolled Agent, Accredited Business Accountant, and writer. She worked as an accountant for two private CPA firms and the state of California before going into private practice.
Joel Busch is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed attorney in California. He is a professor of tax law at San Jose State University, where he teaches courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Previously he was in charge of tax audits, research and planning for one of the largest civil construction and mining companies in the United States.

If you aren't self motivated and don't understand your own learning style then a course may be best. The content is good but not

So far I have passed parts 1 and 2 using this and the test book only. I take part 3 soon.

Decades ago I took the HR Block course. I did only family tax returns. A few years back I took a college course in individual taxes. I felt confident taking part 1. I felt Part 2 would test the material. I passed with a strong rating having no prior experience or training in business taxes. If you study until you know this material . . . Not just memorization but understand the concepts you will pass with less expense than those training programs. If you aren't self motivated and don't understand your own learning style then a course may be best.

The content is good but not perfect. In Part 1 I had a question that wasnt covered until Part 2. Many sections are duplicates in Parts 1 and 2. For example part 1 of the book has estates as does Part 2. In Part 2 of the exam I had a question that I'm sure wasnt covered. Also there were some questions worded in ways I didn't really understand and had to guess based on what I had learned. All in all not enough to make me fail or even do poorly. So I think content and structure is pretty good. The test is confidential and the authors have to make certain assumptions.

It definitely could be better. The headings don't always flow properly. The text may address a complex issue and then the example given may be a situation that ultimately doesn't apply so you can't see how apply the complex issue you just read. It should give the complex example. Sometimes a single line of text is between examples making it easy to overlook and that one sentence may be important. The index could also be better as several times I tried to go back to an idea and couldn't find it in the index. There is at least one question that isnt answered properly.

Keep in mind this was written by EAs and a CPA not a writer or a teacher. It changes often and editing is an issue. I learned alot and it got me through. . So far . . .so it was worth it. I would suggest looking at the forms and seeing for yourself how information flows. Don't expect to just breeze through the reading and pass unless you are experienced or a very quick learner. Put the time in and you can pass.

I would not recommend this book as adequate preparation for the EA Test

I just sat for the second EA Exam and found that this book did not cover about 40% of the exam questions. I spent a lot of time studying the material in this book and could pass the questions at the end of the chapters and in the workbook with ease. It is a little frustrating to spend so much study time on material that is not covered by the exam and then face many questions that were not even mentioned in the book. I also went back to the book after the exam to search for answers and found that the coverage of the questions that were "covered" in the book was not adequate to provide me with an answer. Now I am going to the IRS website to find answers to those questions that are not covered by the book. I just hope that I passed the test (the results will not be out for two weeks).

Good study book for the EA exam

Was a good study book. Used only this book to study for the EA exam and passed all three parts. It can be done this way without doing an online program or reading the publications directly. Good book to use, one tip is for the exam don't just think you can study one part at a time and take the test as some areas overlap in the test so be aware of that when using this book and not get stuck on thinking you're done with all the study material in Part I, II, or III. Working in the industry helps speed up the study time and know things, but this book will work to get you through the test if you really focus on reading and learning the info that's in it. If you buy it and take the test, good luck!

About the Author
David Boucher was educated at the universities of Wales, London and Liverpool. He was a lecturer at the University of Wales, Cardiff, and a senior lecturer at La Trobe University, Melbourne, and the Australian National University, Canberra. He is currently a Reader in Political Theory and Government at the University of Wales, Swansea. He is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society, and a Senior Fellow of the Collingwood Centre, University of Wales, Swansea, and has held fellowships at Cardiff and the History of Ideas Unit, Australian National University. He was a Senior Associate of Pembroke College, Oxford in 1996 and a visiting fellow of New College, Oxford 1998. He is the chairman of the Trustees of the R.G. Collingwood Society and joint editor of the journal Colingwood Studies. He has published widely in the History of Thought in International Relations and has taught the subject for twelve years.

Elizabeth Noble doesn't let her readers down. This story deals with missed opportunity, regrets, difficult choices and friendship. It's a mature story which is believable and thoroughly enjoyable and will appeal to those who enjoy this author and this genre.

A real way to start a business in real estate

I originally thought this book was going to talk about flipping a home by buying it, fixing it up and reselling it. It actually doesn't talk about that at all, what it teaches you is even better. This book will teach you how to start a real estate business by wholesaling properties. You make a profit by essentially putting a deal together between a motivated seller and an investor who wants to fix the property up to resell it. It is probably the best way to get started in real estate. Once you get systems in place and are closing deals you can move onto keeping some properties to fix up and resell or fix up and rent. This book teaches you what you need to do in order to find the deals to make that happen.

I have followed Nick for quite some time now after seeing his story on Secret Entourage. After reading his blogs, following him on Instagram, and even having a personal call with him, I knew Nick was the real deal and sincerely cared about teaching people and helping them achieve their dreams of financial freedom. When Nick's book came out I wasted no time ordering it. Listen, all the other real estate books out there are TRASH! Yes, I said it. TRASH! They will not break down everything like Nick did step by step, word by word, scenario by scenario. Besides Nick focuses on one main topic that makes this all possible, ENTREPRENEURSHIP! Becoming a Real Estate Entrepreneur NOT investor!

This book right here is the single handily greatest blueprint I've ever read in my entire life to starting your own real estate business let alone business from the ground up with ZERO capital involved tackling every scenario you could possibly face along the way. If this book doesn't FIRE you up and make you want to take MASSIVE action ASAP, then you deserve to be stuck in your menial cubicle for the rest of your working life, PERIOD! Simple does NOT mean easy - but everything you need is right here

My family is in the construction business and a way we are trying to grow our business is to learn more about real estate, how to acquire it, buy it, sell it, flip it, etc. As there is a lot of material out there covering this topic, I've sifted through a load of different books websites and articles trying to learn the best way to get into this industry.

One thing I hate is seeing self proclaimed gurus making outlandish claims that their "strategy" or "secret" will get you ahead of the competition with little work or investment. I had to weed through a lot of it, but I finally found the Alpha Home Flipping website and ultimately this book. Nick makes it immediately clear that while his strategies are simple, that doesn't mean they're easy. It will take time and effort and resilience. Nothing of worth comes easy, and the real estate business is no exception.

This book covers everything from start to finish on how to land your first real estate deal. It's all in an easy to read and conversational (and sometimes funny) format that grabs you right away. It's not a slow pitch for another product, or a pipe dream strategy. This stuff works, but as the author has said, make sure you stay persistent and don't get frustrated immediately. All it takes is one!
